Crypto Casino Glossary
Plain-English definitions of every term you'll encounter in crypto gambling — from "aggregator" to "Zcash". Linkable, citable, jargon-free.
A
- 📌 Aggregator
- A casino-software platform (Softswiss, GameArt, Pragmatic Play) that licenses multiple game studios and provides them to operators via a single API. Most crypto casinos use 1-3 aggregators rather than direct studio integrations.
- 📌 AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
- Regulatory framework requiring casinos to detect and report suspicious transactions. Triggers KYC requests at deposit/withdrawal thresholds, typically $2,000-$10,000 daily.
B
- 📌 Bankroll
- The total money you have allocated for gambling. Healthy practice: bankroll never affects bills, rent, or savings. See Kelly Criterion calculator for sizing bets vs bankroll.
- 📌 BEP-20
- Token standard on BNB Smart Chain. USDT-BEP20 means USDT on BNB Smart Chain — cheaper than ERC-20 but with fewer casino destinations.
- 📌 BTC (Bitcoin)
- First and most widely accepted cryptocurrency. ~10 min mainnet confirmation, sub-second via Lightning Network. See Bitcoin casinos guide.
C
- 📌 Cashback
- Bonus that returns a percentage of net losses over a period (daily/weekly/monthly). Best cashback is paid in real cash with no wagering. Cashback bonuses.

- Replacement regulatory framework operational since 2023 for Curaçao licenses. Direct licensee model replaces old master/sub-license system. Verify at curacao-egaming.com.
- 📌 Client seed
- In provably fair games, a random string the PLAYER provides (often editable in account settings). Combined with server seed + nonce to compute outcomes — letting you cryptographically verify the result.
- 📌 Crash (game)
- Multiplier-curve game where a multiplier rises from 1× upward, then crashes at a random point. You cash out before the crash to win bet × cashout. Provably fair via 0.99/(1-r) distribution. Try our Crash strategy tester.
- 📌 Core Web Vitals (CWV)

- 📌 FUD bot
- Automated account spreading negative narratives against a casino. Indicator: high volume, same talking points, no transaction proof.
H
- 📌 House edge

- Often called "casino currency" — 2.5-min block time, sub-cent fees. Stake's #1 withdrawal coin. Litecoin casinos.
M

- Bet-doubling strategy: double bet after every loss, return to base after win. Mathematically broken — table limits + finite bankroll guarantee eventual ruin. Discussed in bankroll management guide.

- Cryptographic scheme letting players verify game outcomes were not manipulated. Uses SHA-256 commit-reveal of server seed + client seed + nonce. Provably fair step-by-step.

- Synonym for wagering requirement. "30× rollover" = bet 30× the bonus before withdrawal.
- 📌 RTP (Return to Player)
- Mathematical payout percentage — slot at 96% RTP returns $96 for every $100 wagered over the long run. NOT a guarantee per session — high variance can produce big swings either way.
